Making a mess.

Just another page in my junk journal to share with you today .... I started this page when I was teaching at the mini retreat at de Craftorij last weekend. Often pages that I start when demo-ing don't get finished but this one was calling to me. I got hold of some new paint colours when I was in Holland *YAY!*, and wanted to try them out so a few more layers were added to my background. I also stole found the colour wheel lying around on a table at de Craftorij and as I LOVE colour wheels so much it somehow made it's way onto my page ;-)

The more I play in my art journals the more I understand that it is the process that is important not the finished result. I am finding more and more that I am going with my instincts and making pages that are less 'pretty' but have so much more meaning for me. I have decided that I am happy when making a multi-layered grungy mess :-))

  3. I totally agree with you on that Kate. I love the process of crafting better than the finished item, the process on the way is just so satisfying, gorgeous page and lovely colours. Debbiex

  6. I am loving these colourful layered pages you are doing and you rescued that poor colour wheel from certain death in the bin.

Unfortunately when I pile layers of paint up like that it just looks a mess - more practise needed methinks

Loving the turquoise with that gorgeous shade of green

  13. Love this page, love the color wheel that you "found"... And I agree, the process of making a page is very important, you can put you heart and soul into it, even though it might look "messy" or very "busy" as long as you/we like it, it's okay!
