The challenge over on the Stampotique Designers' Challenge blog has been set by the lovely Gez this week. The challenge is to create a one-layer card. *gulp*. It won't surprise you to know that I am WAY out of my comfort zone with this one. I don't DO one layer haha!! Infact I think I may even have cheated a little with this one. Not sure .... ! Does this count as one layer do you think?!
Ah well, all I can say is 'I done my best'!
Hop over to the Stampotique Designers Blog to see what the rest of the team have come up with, and don't forget to sign up with your own one-layer creation!
Byeeeeeee
It's fab though - whether it counts as one layer or not! and I love those birds!

It certainly DOES count! It's a STUNNER Kate ♥♥
ReplyDeleteI think you passed :-) Seriously, it's fab, as ever.
ReplyDeleteWell the only reason its not a OLC is because you mounted it onto folded card stock you noggin lol otherwise its a fab OLC (just rip of of its card and you have succeeded lol). The layers not required in a OLC are are in the card stock (ie matt and layering) and embellies ie use none.
ReplyDeleteLove it though. Very much a Kate creation.
You did your best you say, now it is beautiful. marvelous card and I lvoe the colors black and red.
ReplyDeleteLovely greet Marja

Love the combination of the great red colors and the black and white on this card Kate.
ReplyDeleteAnd I cannot enter your Dutch workshop...all days are fully booked even Thursday grrrr....
Greetings, Alie :-)
This is fabulous and you made me LOL at your honesty!

I would definitely have difficulty with only one layer. Evil Edna does this really well, and she's funny too. I like reading her short but sweet posts. It's because we like backgrounds, and EE focuses on the image, which can be really expressive. I think it's much harder to be simple, I can't resist the temptation to fill white space! I think on this occasion you get an F! for your fabulous, gorgeous multi-layered card! Ha Michelle x
ReplyDeleteI say it counts-it's a gorgeous example of fusing your wonderful style with just one layer!
ReplyDeleteHA HA....
ReplyDeleteLovely as ever.

ReplyDeleteHa ha ha, methinks your 'ghosting' technique gives you away a little!!
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, yet another gorgeous card in your own inimitable, bright and cheerful style Kate, I love it.
Big hugs x x x x
Not sure it does count but it's still fab! Lol
ReplyDeleteNo I don't think so!!! But it's gorgeous and could possibly be considered one layer since it's not dimensional. Don't feel bad, I couldn't do it either!
ReplyDeletei totally agree that this is one layer, as you didn't stack any paper. Ha!
ReplyDeletehow could one not love this? love how the white circles make everything pop!
Your top layer is one layer ROFL!!! Doesn't matter, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThere is no way that is one layer, but it is in so many ways an absolutely beautiful card! Oh the watercolors and how they sparkle with texture. The stamps you chose work so well together and I love the painted circles.
ReplyDeleteYou are justnot a one layer girl.
Be the multidimensional being that you are.
Awesome colours! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the design totally, the coloring and stamping is absolutly gorgeous!
