February!

Well, it's the start of a new month and you know what that means - yay! it's calendar time! For once I have my page ready for the month ahead so I'm feeling a little smug :-)

The first month of 2012 was something of a record - 124 entries to the challenge. Totally amazing, you are all fantastic! I have really enjoyed hopping around blogland having a look at all the wonderful creations you have come up with, and all soooo different. Keep it up everyone :-)

Here's a closer look at the character I added this month - Sweetmoves by Daniel Torrente. I stamped my own little quote around her in reference to the hideous commercialism surrounding days such as Valentine's day. I really object to the shops removing Christmas cards and immediately adding valentines day cards ... and before you know it the shops will be full of Easter eggs ......

And just to prove I do actually fill my calendars in, here's January all done!

Just before I leave you all with the new link ('cos I know some of you are raring to go ....), did anyone else see the cute little word birds in Cloth Paper Scissors this month? Cuuuute! I've made a couple but I want a whole flock!

So here's the link for February. Did you all remember that it's a leap year??!

PLEASE check that your link works - I couldn't visit everyone's blog last month because one or two links didn't work. If you have any problems with the link just e-mail me (address in my sidebar)

  16. Your page is great nice to see the filled in one too. Easter eggs were on the shelves at my tesco on boxing day !! It's bad enough for me I have twins that from boxing day every day ask me if it is their birthday yet !! There birthday this month I am hoping they don't spot the Easter eggs for a couple of weeks. Are these birds ones you made or are they out of cloth paper scissors . Love the stampotique stamp. X

  27. After a lot of pondering, I have decided not to join the calendar challenge this year. I just started a new job, and crafting has taken a back seat for now... I love looking at other people's pages though! Yours is fab, I love the edges!

  30. I especially like the border. What stamp or mask did you use?

I totally agree with your objection against commercialism. Instead of me wanting to do something special for my beloved, the commercialism tells me that I have to do something (Valentine, Christmas and so forth). I think that's not right.

  31. Love both months. Especially like the background you did for February!

  32. Fabulous pages for Feb Kate :-)
I agree about the commercialism but have to just say as far as I'm concerned they can sell Cadbury's Creme eggs all year round for me hehehehe
