The latest edition of Craft Stamper (UK) is in the shops today including an article by me, called stamping for scrapbookers. Yeah, yeah, I know I'm not really a scrapbooker - far too messy LOL! But there is a real crossover between scrapbooking and art journaling these days, the boundaries are becoming a little blurred ..... Needless to say, I managed to get very inky creating my page and had a lot of fun along the way. Only a couple of sneak peeks allowed due to copyright .... if you want to see more you'll have to hotfoot it to the shops :-) The free cover stamp this month is a fabulous castle stamp by the one and only Octopode, and you know you really want that!
Just wanted to say I am blown away by how many people have linked up their calendar pages already this month, and so impressed that so many of you were ready on time!! You are all FANTASTIC!! I will get you round to you all eventually but please be patient - there's a lot of blog hopping to be done :-))
Look forward to reading the magazine Kate, x
ReplyDeleteLove the colours in your project.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favouriute projects in this month's issue, I love it.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of journal/scrap book combo - I like making backgrounds and yours looks gorgeous - those colours are dreamy and I love adding stitching too - will definitely keep my eyes open for the mag.
ReplyDeleteGreat article Kath !!
ReplyDeleteI would like to invite you into my blog - if you have some free time - so you can see my very first art journaling work. This is totally inspired by you:o) I love your work, and have a long way to go to become as skilled as you, but I enjoyed my time crafting:) Thanks for all the inspiration you share!

I love Craft Stamper and cannot wait for mine each month to arrive all the way from the UK. I will be quite excited to see your contribution! I learn so much from this mag even thought sometimes I might not like the outcome of a technique - but then after I play with the technique I start to like the original object! It's a problem as there is only so much space you can have (lol)!
ReplyDeleteI finally, finally broke down and subscribed to Craft Stamper. It's a bit more for a subscription than I'm used to but I love that magazine so much and there are so many talented artists in it (like our friend Kate) that I couldn't miss out on it anymore. So I'm excited to get it and I'm hoping my first one is the one your in Kate. I don't want to toot my own horn or anything but did I not predict that Kate Crane here was going to become hugely successful in no time at all. Everyone has picked up on how talented and fun your artwork is just like I new they would. Love your work Kate, it always brings a smile to my face.
