I had a fabulous time at Art from the Heart on Saturday, teaching a workshop to a great and fun group, on Art Journaling using Stampotique images.
Art journaling + Stampotique = fun!!
Whilst teaching the class I decided to challenge myself to complete a page in my mop-up sketchbook, to see if I could make anything out of this ugly ink spill:
I am LOVING my new Stampotique stamps - abstract foliage (great for borders!) and the sentiment which makes me absolutely laugh my socks off.
I was quite pleased with how this page turned out in the end, considering it was just an ugly spill on a page to start with. Even my husband said he really liked it, but then he added .... 'ooh, that person looks just like you'.
Hmmm.
Is that a compliment do you think?
Anyway, here's the class hard at work:
Here's me with the lovely Debra, all the way from the USA:
And here's what they came up with, I think these pages are FABULOUS!

Love your page, Kate but I don't think it was ugly to begin with - great colours and I love the way it ended up. Love those words, too - and I think that was a compliment from your OH, he, he. I should get one of those for my OH - a people person he is NOT. I spy Liz in your group and love her page - along with those made by the others. One day I'll make it... x
