Stamp by Stampotique Originals
Paints and inks by Dylusions
Over on the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog, there's a new challenge today - Willy has challenged us all to have a go using the colours turquoise and orange. I'm not officially joining the DT until February but I couldn't resist this challenge as these colours are lush. I get in such a rut cometimes when I select colours for my art so it's good to try something different.
I cut two tags out of card using the wonderful Tim Holtz Tag Sizzix Die. It makes a really big tag and I love it! I also cut one out of mountboard (matt board) to add some weight. I decided to make a hanger for my door so it is double sided. If I am in a good mood then I will display the side that says 'step right in, I don't usually bite' but if I am in a less than pleasant mood I will display the side that reads 'go away I am busy doing very important stuff'. Hahahahaha :-)))
I chose to use Dweeze for this project because it looks like he could be in a grumpy mood but you can't really be sure. As my kids would say, is he a goodie or a baddie?!
I created the background with acrylic paints and yummy mica ink sprays by Dylusions.
I added rusted wire through the top so that I can hang it on the door, and a few ribbons tied randomly to soften the look:
If you want to join the challenge or see what the designers have come up with have a look here.

Such a magical combination of colours I always think. It stirs my soul! Love the drippy background layers. It really is a brilliantly composed piece. I am so pleased I stopped by! (found you on a blog hoppity hop).

The body is about a quarter of my weight!!! LOL Love your style as usual and I'm drooling over your article in my just rec'd copy of the March CS atm!! Love that too. xx
