There's something fishy going on...

Well here it is, my first piece of art made using the wonderful new images by Marsha of Tumblefish Studios. Marsha has linked up with Hollie of Holliewood studios and together they are creating loads and loads of fabulous sheets of funky images for your art, available to download as png files (it's v.simple - even I could do it!) You need to have a look here at Deviant scrap to see all the new goodies on offer. Here I used a body from 'fish babes', a head from 'snappy dressers' and a butterfly from 'froo froo'. I added these to a background I created using spray inks and a Tim Holtz ledger stamp. Fun! Expect plenty more of these!

I typed out the saying. I'm sure most of you will recognise it - they're lyrics from a Scottish Folk song. It goes something like this:

You shall have a fishy
on a little dishy
You shall have a fishy
when the boat comes in.

Yesterday I took off for the afternoon and went to Art From the Heart, where Dyan was having an open day with lots of dressing up, cupcakes, and mini workshops. Couldn't resist doing a mini workshop while I was there, so I made this with help from the lovely Marie:

This was made using distress inks in the new colours, the head of a Stampotique stamp and body and legs by Dyan's downloads. I feel that she must be added to my journal somehow .... watch this space :-)

Bye for now

  3. Excellent - back to the slightly weird.
Lovely to see you yesterday. If you haven't already, check out Stampotique - I think they need you on their design team.
