A bit more wrecking!

Free time has been a little scarce lately but I have managed to wreck my journal a bit more. (Wreck this Journal by Keri Smith). The page said 'make a paper chain' so I did! I haven't sat and coloured in like this since I was a young girl (OK, maybe not that young LOL!) and it is therapeutic and calming. And fun :-)

Now what do I do with my paper chain? I haven't got a clue!

Some of you spotted the reference to OFSTED (school inspectors) in my last post. Yeah, the page was about that, but also about life in general. I don't like the word satisfactory - it has connotations of failure. I prefer the word Sarah of The Art of Moodling came up with - 'Fine'! I think that's much better! OFSTED haven't been to my school recently but watch this space..........

Bye for now, happy weekend everyone :-)

  3. Colouring is very under-rated - it's SO calming and is not just for kids! Love the paper chains - haven't came across that page yet - have you showered with your journal yet?!? Have a lovely weekend. x

  5. This is amazing. I have no idea what you will use this chain for, either, but it looks so tempting, I want to hold it in my hand and play with it.

I also love the spread with the heart you created in your last post. This one really spoke to me. The layers and time you spent with it made it so special. The colors you used were so rich and warm, too.

    Have a great weekend.

  6. I LOVE them Kate....Have always loved colouring - still do it in the kids books much to their disgust...lm(ws)ao... Taking my Wreck this Journal on holiday with me along with some colouring in pencils and pens...restricted to what I can take with cabin baggage so no paints or proper journaling!!

  8. I adore your paper chain and i think you should hang it up around where you create..so you can see it often and so it reminds you that we are all interlinked and connected..inspiring others and being inspired..no man is an island and we are all a part of the art collective unconscious..your paper chain can indeed be very symbolic and work to inspire you on an archetypal and subconcsious level..oh and have a great day..sorry for waffling lol..Hugs jan

  21. You could always count down to a paper chain party. Tear one off each day and when the last one is torn off have a party. in the middleof the living room. under a blanket fort. with flashlights. and sugar. and Scrabble. just a thought.
