If you can't get to New York yourself the next best thing is a husband going on a business trip and sneaking in a little visit to The Ink Pad :-) One day, I WILL go to New York myself! I have obviously been a VERY GOOD GIRL because he brought me home lots of goodies. One of the things was this stamp by Lynne Perrella. I stamped onto some old paper, cut out and mounted onto a background of acrylic paints. If you look closely you may be able to see that I built up the background in layers and stamped some clock faces which can be seen faintly in the background. This image sums up exactly how I feel a lot of the time - my head is always so busy and sometimes I just can't switch off.
Just have a look at this:
That's a lot of rubber! What wouldn't you give to spend half an hour in there? (Half an hour? Who am I kidding! Half a day, more like!) I am sure the staff were intruiged to see an English man in a suit wandering round a stamp shop in NY.
And another journal page I finished a few days ago. This was purely messing about - one of my favourite pastimes :-)
