Summer hols!!

Woop woop! The summer hols are here :-)))) Ah, I was ready for a break. The school show went fine (all 4 performances) and I celebrated the end of term with lots of wine and chocolate ha ha! Now, I've just got to look after my own two children for the next 6 or 7 weeks which means there'll be a battle for the computer. If I don't blog you'll know why. As soon as I go near the computer a little voice says 'Can I go on after you?' 'After you' of course means 'after you as long as it's in the next 30 seconds' in the mind of a child.
Anyway, here is my next Zetti for Marion's swap. Two down, one to go. These are fun fun fun to do!

And now for this:

I LOVE blog awards. I know some of you don't like them, don't post them etc but I like them - they boost my fragile artistic confidence. This one came from Dyan who is a great source of inspiration to me and many others. She is the queen of Art Journaling and I spend many happy hours in her studio splashing the paint around! I'm supposed to hand it on to three people. Obviously I can't hand it to Dyan as she gave it to me.....so I'd like to pass it on to Marsha at Tumblefish Studios. Marsha is feeling sad / angry today (see her blog to know why)so this might cheer her up. I'd also like to hand it on to Roc who is a very talented and prolific artist who NEVER runs out of fab ideas. And, Mary who produces some beautiful art and art journaling.
I know not everyone likes blog awards, so take it if you like and if not I won't be offended :-)
And finally, a little peek into my mainstream side:

I absolutely cannot sit still and watch the TV for more than about three seconds. So lastnight I sat on the carpet in front of a very crap film and made these little gift bags. Cute huh? See, I'm thinking about my Christmas workshops already....!
Bye for now

  1. Hello Kate

Absolutely love what you did with the little girls a few posts back. All of the children's artwork looks so professional. I'm organizing aCraft Against Cancer raffle on behalf of the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign. Want to join in the fun? 17 prizes so far!

  3. Kathryn, you rock way hard, baby! Oh my gosh! I came into tell you how very beautiful this Zetti is (I've peeked at least once before tonight) and I read your post just now and holy moly! I know I am emotional at the moment, but you brought tears to my eyes. You have absolutely no idea how much your award and support means to me. You see, you have no idea what an inspiration you are to me. You are in the top of my list for inspiration and admiration. And you being so kind, thoughtful, and gracious just makes you all the much more a very important colleague and mentor. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you give to me.

I'm glad you are celebrating the end of term and can't wait to see what you do with your time - even if it is some much deserved rest. By the way, I am becoming a fan of your friend Dylan too because of the humor you share with each other - you are my kinda gals.

    thanks again sweet lady!

  4. Your zetti's are lovely and I'm loving the colours ... I have total creative block whenever I think of doing something zetti. I'm off to visit the sites from you awards ... I haven't visited blogs in ages, so am making the most of it tonight. Also, I second all of what Marsha says about you, I feel the same. Keep well, Diana.

  6. Kathryn, thank you so very much. I came by to check out what you have been up to and look what I found. You have blessed me with an award. This came at the perfect time for me, I have been at a low point as we all go through at times.

Love your Zetti pieces - so fun!!
