An emotional day....

Hello again everyone. I just realised I haven't blogged in over a week but there is a very good reason for this. I have had a cold, but not just any old cold. I have felt so bad I think I have had a case of man flu. HA HA HA LOL! Anyway, apart from the odd cough and snuffle I am on the mend. I haven't felt like doing anything all week and I have watched a whole load of junk on the TV but today I broke out and went to my favourite journaling class with Dyan at Art from the Heart. Turns out it was quite an emotional class today as Dyan got everyone to open up their emotional baggage. She got us to write some seriously personal stuff down but thankfully let us put it through the shredder afterwards. Anyway, I still played it fairly safe with my journal page (I'm not ready to air my emotional baggage to the world just yet) and decided to journal about some of the little every day things that stress me out. I know there are far greater things to get stressed out about, I've been there, but sometimes it's the little things......

So, in no particular order these 'little' things stress me out:
-Deadlines ( a serious creativity killer)
-Having too much to do (not enough hours in the day)
-Other people's anger
-Being late (I know, I know, I could sort this one out myself...)

I used a mixture of Teesha Moore's zettiology images and Lisa's altered arts over a background of Claudine Hellmuth acrylics.

And while I was at the studio I treated myself to these little babies!

There is just something so gorgeous about a box of NEW crayons :-))))
Bye for now, I'm off to stroke my new crayons......

  4. Even though you're under the weather you can still find a quick jibe, lol. Your journal page with the zetti is very cool, you're so good at that style. The crayons look great when they're new like that ... I bet they won't look the same next week!! Other than that all I can say is .... breathe ... it always calms.

  6. Sorry you are under the weather, hope you are feeling better soon. Sounds like you had an intense session at Dyan's and what a fabulous journal page as a result. So true, deadlines are such a roadblock to creativity. And couldn't agree more about other people's anger and the tardiness.

You are really developing a knack for zetti. Your penchant for color and whimsical details really compliment the style. Great work.

Ooohing and aahing over those new crayon beauties.

    :-)
