Can't get enough of beeswax!

So, this is what I've been doing this weekend. I spent a lovely day yesterday with Dyan at Art From The Heart for a fabulous make'n'take charity day, all in aid of The Carer's Resource, and in memory of Dyan's Mum. Dyan and her family had really worked their socks off to make this day a success.......I've never seen so many cupcakes! Anyway, a few of us willing and eager helpers were there to man the make'n'take stalls and I got to play with beeswax all day. How lucky am I?! I made this ATC (designed by Dyan), using Ranger dabbers, Tim Holtz stamps, and an image from Lisa's Altered Art. Dyan said she wanted to do quick and easy ATCs. Well, I don't usually do easy and I certainly don't do quick (ha!) but Dyan was cracking the whip yesterday and I managed to get this made in record time :-) It was a busy busy day with loads of crafty people turning up to make lots of great things and lots of money was raised for the charity. (I'd just like to point out though that I didn't win the raffle. Life is sooooo unfair. I only win a raffle when it's something crap......)
Bye for now

  2. I would love to experiment more with beeswax, but really need a melting pot so I can play in my room ... a household with little kiddies does not warrant creating art with hot stuff in the communal kitchen! So sorry to hear about the raffle ... I'll send some of my luck your way.

  4. This is lovely! Someone needs to teach me quick and easy because all I do takes forever and I make everything harder than it needs to be. This is a perfectly done card - just right! Sounds like you had a wonderful day for wonderful reasons.
