Snow, snow, snow!

Ha ha ha hee hee hee ha ha ha, this is what I woke up to this morning. Why am I laughing? Because all the local schools were closed so I got a day off! :-))))) If you thought that just the children were excited by the prospect of a day off school you'd be very much mistaken - the teachers are just as bad. I had a stack of papers to mark which were reading comprehensions all about the first arctic explorers. The irony of this did not escape me as I sat on my unexpected day off looking out at the snow. I still managed however, to fit in a little sledging.........

  1. haha! very ironic! and it reminds me soooo much of my childhood up in throckley! one winter there was so much snow and a strike going on and so snow being cleared, we couldn't go to school for what felt like weeks but was probably about 10 days hihi! it was great!!!!

  2. Wow, snow in early December, that's unusual isn't it? I've been in the UK loads of times and have never seen snow. Gotta love an unexpected day off though.

  4. Glad you got a mini break!!! Oh how I wish for snow! We've not got any yet this year but I look at snow days as "Days ON work" having them all home with me is both a blessing and a curse :-) At least this time of year we can try out some of our cookie recipes and make the day fun!
