Shrinky Dinks!

Well, I have had a lazy morning playing with shrink plastic in readiness for a workshop I am running next weekend. This little book measures just 3 x 4.25 cm when finished and is really cute! I originally saw this idea in an article by Suzie Jefferson in Craft Stamper magazine. Of course one of the advantages of working with shrink plastic is that it is quite large while you are working on it so not too fiddly to do. The stamps are from Crafty Individuals and Paper Artsy.

And here is a peek at my more 'mainstream side' LOL! I am very happy when working with mixed media, doing my own thing but there is also a time and a place for this kind of thing too and actually I am happy just messing about in my craft room doing whatever..... This is a little handbag charm which I made using a couple of paper punches (hmmm, it's probably not doing my punches any good...) and then coloured and stamped before shrinking. When I do these in a class we will use the oven to shrink them but at home I use my heatgun. Nothing wrong with a couple more scorch marks on my table to add to the collection.

And finally a couple of Christmas decorations ....... just 26 days till Christmas now ..................

Ah well, I really must go and get dressed and yes, I know it's 12.30 pm but I was busy and the children were busy playing pirates and before I knew it 3 hours had passed :-)
