Happy new year!


Happy new year! Better late than never, eh?! Ooh I do find January difficult. I seem to completely switch off over Christmas, and then I find it very hard to get going again, and the short dark days really don't help. Ah well, onwards and upwards ... not long till spring!


Anyway, here's a ceramic heart I painted using DecoArt fluid acrylics in the yummy colours of Dioxazine Purple, Medium Grey, and Cobalt Teal. Ooh these colure work really well together and make me smile :-) The ceramic heart (Country Love Crafts) was a surprisingly smooth and lovely surface to paint on.


I decorated the background with stamps and stencils by Andy Skinner, and added a little collaged butterfly with a bit of glittery bling.

    Lovely as always, Kate. I need to experiment with fluid acrylics. I only have a few in my stash and really haven't used them much. (Sounds like a good reason to go for a little shopping trip, yes??).

    Just gorgeous, I love it. Did you just use the paints straight onto the ceramic shape or did you use a special base coat first?
