Ok, ok, so I got a little behind. Again. *sigh* That's life I guess ... I have been doing these calendar pages for 5 years now and one thing that I have learned along the way is to NOT GET STRESSED when I get behind. Let it go. To catch up on a month in retrospect I find soul destroying, so always look ahead, and don't beat yourself up about it.
So, I am totally ignoring the fact that I didn't get October done, but I am celebrating the fact that I did get November done YAY! Ok, so I'm late but who cares? I'm here!

Recently I am totally embracing the messy! I scrubbed my paintbrush on the page to get a scruffy look. It's so liberating. Here's a few i-phone snap shots of my work in progress .... (the photos are pretty dark I'm afraid but we don't get much decent daylight here in the UK at this time of year ... )
So now I'm off to fill it in so far ....
Great pages, it is liberating to be free with a paintbrush and i like the results:-) x
ReplyDeleteI Love your November page, the colours are fab. My page is so drab in comparison as I went for a bonfire night theme (black with a splash of colour). Enjoy the rest of November.
ReplyDeleteLove all the beautiful colours Kate

I like it! Lots -- and yes, wise you are not to look back and beat yourself up!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! These pages are bright and colorful. I wish I had a larger book, because I really love how you made this month's calendar. Mine is SO drab.
ReplyDeleteI agree that you are wise not to look back. After all, life gets in the way of art at times.
