Oh, how I love drawing! I always have loved drawing, but since getting my Art Doodle Love book I seem to find myself doing it more and more ... I take it with me if I am going anywhere where I may have to sit still for more than a couple of minutes with nothing to do. I absolutely can not sit still! That book has encouraged me to draw and doodle and has a rekindled a love for just messing about with pens and pencils.
After practising many faces in my book I decided to try a couple using paints (and pencils!) so did these two on some recycled cardboard, and I'm going to do some more because I have A Plan. I spotted this on Susana Tavares blog (oh, how I love her art!) and I want to make my own version. I also added a few more to a pinterest board - you can check it out here. So, watch this space to see where I go from here!
And I'll leave you with a few pics of me doodling in my doodle book......
At the swimming baths ....
On holiday at Centre Parcs ...
Yay! for doodling!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi there, thanks for your comments :-) When I am out and about I usually take my copy of Art Doodle Love by Dawn Sokol as it already has backgrounds in so I can get straight to work! In my little bag I have a Faber Castell PITT superfine in black, a white signo uniball pen, several Stabilo Aquarellable pencils in various colours (water soluble pencils), a selection of soft sketching pencils, some coloured pencils - either prisma colors or Faber Castell polychromos, and some Montana paint pens. Hope that helps! Kate x
