Tag journaling... dutch styleeee!

Ooh, I was lucky enough to get my mitts on these new stencils from the Dutch firm 'Dutch Doobadoo', and you can never ever have enough stencils right?! Yes, Dutch Doobadoo have asked me to be their guest designer this month, and I couldn't possibly refuse ;-)

Of course, once I got these new stencils I was itching to have a play, so I dug out my Gelli plate (because I can't stop playing with that either!) and made these prints on regular card using Floral Swirl:

I chose to use the red/pink combo and added some loose scribbly doodling in white (Uniball Signo) and black (Faber Castell PITT in superfine) to highlight the lovely floral pattern:

I thought it made a great girly background for the not-so-girly Mink by Daniel Torrente for Stampotique! I added my gelli print background to a large tag and mounted the tag onto strong card so that I could add it to my junk journal once finished.

I added a few of the crows from Crow Line by Janet Klein for stampotique. Tricky to cut out, but not impossible.

A large eyelet, the odd paint splatter and a bit of stitching .....

And then I placed my journaling tag into my junk journal ... just got to decide which pocket to put it in.....

If you want to know more about Dutch Doobadoo stencils have a look at their blog here or on facebook here!

Bye for now .....

    1. Hi Debbie, Yes, I used the gelli plate a bit on the DVDs - mainly for finger painting on it and printing deli paper! You should dig yours out and get it used - it's fun and so easy to create great backgrounds!
