Bird stamp by Invoke Arts
Another journal page on corrugated cardboard ... if you look closely you can see the texture of the cardboard beneath the paint. I wanted to try something different with my lettering, so I painted the words with a fine paintbrush and some calligraphy ink:
On Saturday it was preview day at Art from the Heart, where the new classes for the coming months are announced, and taster classes are offered. New classes will be on-line here soon. It was a baking hot day (most unusual for the north of England!) but plenty of you still turned up to play with inks and paints and generally make a mess ;-)
In my taster class we made these little mini journal prompt tags, using Talens Amsterdam acrylic paints. *Love love love* these paints, and so did the peeps on my class too! Much to my delight these paints are now in stock at Art from the Heart (not yet on-line but keep looking!)
The paper clay class I offered last time was very popular, so there will be another class ... Paper clay is amazing stuff to play with - very easy to mould and use. Here's a little bunny girl I made:
Paper clay available *here*
And an angel with marabou feather wings!
Details of all my classes can be found on my blog page here. I'll be taking a little break from teaching over the summer to spend some time with my children :-) But after the summer hols I will be hitting the ground running ... ! Maybe see you sometime?
Byee for now.... happy Monday everyone!
Thank you for a great time Kate.
ReplyDeleteAngie and I had the most fab time painting with the gorgeous new Acrylic's, how lovley are they?
Thank you for the advise on the Canvas's for my coming workshop for kids, I feel so much more confident now.
It was so lovely to finally craft with you, and Angie and I hope we can come over for a Workshop very soon.

ReplyDeleteI just love your pages, they are always so bright and cheery and yep....just love em!
ReplyDeleteAnother great page Kate - a bit obsessed with the diamond washi tape. I've got a black and white stripe one that I use aaaaallll the time. Your doodling marks add so much to the page as well - seriously considering Dawn's book.
