A bit of this and that ...

Earlier this week I got to take a 'layers' class with the one and only Dina Wakley at Art from the Heart,  and what lovely inky messy fun it was too. I got to sit right opposite Dina herself, so this is what I was looking at for 2 days!! A big cheesy smile :-)

Dina works you really hard in class. I am usually a slow ponderous worker, but not when I'm with Dina, oh no! Dina has you working at break-neck speed! We did many different forms of layering, and covered a whole host of different techniques. It was such fun.

And of course I have been doodling a little more in my 'Art Doodle Love' book. The scribbly girl was doodled on the back of a hand-out in class. I wished I had done her in my Doodle book, so I just stuck it in with washi tape:

And then doodled on the opposite page too!

Bye for now .... Happy weekend everyone :-)

  8. Hiya Kate.
I just love the page you have done wiht thte big 2 on it, so vibrant and gorgeous.
I saw Dina at AFTH, I went shopping on the Friday afternoon. It was very quiet in the shop, Angie and I had a nice talk with Ben and we bought lots of lovely new goodies. As we were leaving we saw Dina and as Angie had bought her book, she said she would sign it for her.
I would love to join one of her classes at sometime. Debbiex

  14. I am loving your doodle pages at the moment. I have seen the book and think it may need to go on my wish list. Damn it, why is my birthday so far away?

I love the colours on this page - I'm obsessed with pink and orange at the moment after being a 'blue girl' for so long. I'd love to see more of your doodle pages - I think I might have to give this a go for myself. I know just the half finished page to do it on too.
