New Dylusions, and more Gelli!!

Annie Stencil by Dylusions
*New* Dylusions ink sprays: Calypso Teal, Dirty Martini, After Midnight

Finally, the new Dylusions range is available yay!! (I got my new stuff from here) I am totally loving the new colours in the ink spray range, and the new 2-part stencils are fab and a great idea. You get the positive AND the negative in one package. Genius!

Here are the new colours in all their gorgeousness:

Yesterday I taught another class using the Gelli Arts printing plate at Art from the Heart (UK) to a really fun and enthusiastic group. What messy fun we had! Here's a few of my samples from the day:

We used a combination of Ranger Dabbers, and Golden Fluid acrylics. I added some metallic copper to this one and it looked fab! :

Here's another view, you can really see the copper here:

And this is the 'second' print from the above. This will co-ordinate beautifully with the first print of course!

We tried making patterns with a tool and the end of a paint brush (Warning: If you have a Gelli plate don't use anything hard to make patterns, you might damage your plate!)

And then we tried spraying Dylusions ink sprays over the top. Wow! The acrylic paint acts as a resist and the Dylusions inks shine through, almost neon! I LOVE this effect.

Of course, you can always scan your prints before you use them in your journals etc ... these will make fab background papers for something else ....

And here's the class hard at work, making a mess! :

Thanks for a fun day ladies :-)

  5. Looks like it was great fun, Kate. It is my dream to do something like this, but life as missionaries in Ukraine has us on a different path. I do love teaching children and ladies here tho'. Nothing like the joy of an excited child beaming over his own creation. Or woman for that matter. Since you are a teacher you know what I mean.
Following here now. Hope you'll follow on my blog too. Helps me remember to come back here.
    Blessings,

  7. Fabulous makes, so wish I lived closer to AFTH for classes!
I choose not to use the gelli plates (as I am veggie) but I am looking forward to getting my mitts on the new sprays (especially the white). The colours are delicious.

Just finished watching your 4th DVD...am now doubly inspired!

    Thanks
