The January edition of Craft Stamper is out this week, and includes a colourful little article by moi! Here's a few sneaky peeks:
Dylusions ink sprays, Golden fluid acrylics, Tim Holtz stamps, Sizzix dies .... Have a look here for all the details.
As you know, I have been doing an on-line class with the fabulous Mindy Lacefield, and have found myself doing all sorts of unexpected things! Like this ... carving stamps from foam. OMG this could be my new addiction LOL!!
Byee for now ....
Gorgeous stamps from you! I also started to carve:)

your carved stamps are amazing!! How do you get the "unstamp" part to be so smooth? mine look like hills and valleys. thanks.
ReplyDeleteSuzie, I 'carved' these stamps by burning extra thick craft foam with a woodburning tool. That's why they look smooth! It's quick, easy and totally addictive, but you can't get the same amount of detail as when carving easycarve with a lino tool. x
ReplyDeleteCongrats! LOVE LOVE LOVE your carved stamp designs, especially the bunny! Hopefully I can find a copy here in the US love to see what you created.

Looking forward to my copy this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI carve with easy carve, not thought of foam and pyrograph....wonder if a soldering iron will work? I feel an experiment coming on!
Kyla
Hi Kyla,. I have carved stamps both ways - you get a different effect and a different result. Try a soldering iron and see what happens!!
DeleteI got my magazine yesterday...yeah going to take it to bed to read in a minute nothing on TV...
ReplyDeleteLove these rich colors, Kate. I'm not a carver... hoping your carvings will soon be mass-produced!
