Just a mini blog post to share some mini journal pages!

I have been wanting to carve my own stamps for ages but somehow I never got round to it, but finally I did it! I started with a bunny 'cos I just like bunnies! You can see from this that my first attempt at carving wasn't perfect, far from it LOL! But it's ok, I like imperfection ;-)


And just another very quick page....

Ranger colorwash over text/gesso. Stamps by Tim Holtz.

    Fabulous work Kate, just love love that bunny...You clever thing.
    I have just made a little project following your idea in this months Craft Stamper magazine. Really enjoyed doing it, never used my Perfect Pearls before and have three shades, loved it, thanks for the inspiration.

    That's brilliant Kate, well done, it looks great, how did you find some blank rubber to carve? I'd love to have a go at that. You know what I really love about your first page (Everything!) but especially that little strike of colour from the 3 red strips, it's just genius and it puts a great big smile on my face, to see the contrast. I love the lovely bright circle on the second page too. That's one of my fav flourish stamps. Very inspiring Kate, I love it lots. Michelle x

    Look out Kate-once you start it's impossible to stop!! Besides the online carving class I've been taking, I've been doing my own carvings and my stash is continually increasing-so much fun! Your bunny carving is just the cutest!!

    I am in loove with that bunny! His/her expression is priceless. Beautiful job for the first try....perhaps you should try your hand at designing images as I would love to get my hands on that bunny ;)

    The bunny is fabulous. Stamp carving is so cool, I love it. Love both pages, but especially the green/blue page with the amber bunny.

    Your bunny is sooooooo cute!! And the imperfections really add to his character!

    Fab pages, nice contrasting colours. And I love the painty-Splatty female symbol on the second page - was it an intentional choice?

    Can I ask where you bought your rubber and carving tools?

      Hi Charli, I actually bought my tools from de craftorij when I was in Holland recently but they are available on Amazon as a kit:
