All for Stampotique Originals
Over on the Stampotique Designers' blog, it's challenge time again! Kim has challenged us this time, and she has challenged us to use a sketch.... this sketch to be precise:
Now, I'm not always great at following a sketch, in fact it's one of the challenges I find most difficult, but this time I followed the sketch pretty well. I used some of the *new* Distress Inks, to make my background: Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberries, Peacock Feathers, Sailboat Blue, and then added a bit of Walnut Stain around the edges.
I used these ugly-in-a-beautiful-kind-of-a-way fellas: Quizer and Mervyn Boy, and then just used one word 'friends' from the quote that seemed to fit. They make a hilarious pair don't they?!
There have been a few changes recently over at Stampotique. As well as a whole host of fabulous new designers on the team, the rules for entering a challenge have changed:
With the big announcement last week of our growing design team we have decided to make a few changes to the way we do our challenges.
- First we will be going to WEEKLY challenges instead of only the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month
- Challenges will remain on Wednesdays and will remain open until the following Tuesday at 5 p.m. EST
- Challenges will be open to using ALL stamps, giving everyone the opportunity to win some Stampotique stamps to use
- Our design team will be posting in two groups, rotating weeks
Two winners will be randomly chosen at the end of the month from all the challenge participants to win a $30 gift certificate for Stampotique stamps.
So now entering the challenges has just got a whole load easier, so no excuses! Have a look at the Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog here for all the details, and don't forget to link up with your entry.
Byee for now :-)
