Been busy ...

It is not that I am panicking or anything like that but it is only 10 days until I leave for USA to go to Ranger U (Wooooooooooot!). I have had so much to do ... booking flights, applying for a visa, searching for a hotel, buying new shoes (!!) Still, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

On top of that I have several deadlines to meet before I go, while I am away, and as soon as I get back, YIKES!! I have been a very busy bee indeed. Today I have been playing with Dylusions, getting ready for my workshop at Art from the Heart on creating inky tags and cards next week, which all things considered isn't a bad way to spend an afternoon ;-)

Got challenges to prepare for, a magazine article to write, and classes to prepare for when I get back from USA (don't want the challenge of preparing for a class while jet lagged!) When life gets this busy, there's only one thing for it.

Wine!

I saw this green / black combo on Ellen's blog here and really liked it. I used  Fresh Lime with a touch of Black Marble. It's amazing what the touch of black does. It isn't my usual colour choice but I'm loving it. I also used Tim's technique of embossing over Distress ink for a splash of colour. LOVE this! And added medium bee stamp by Jo Capper Sandon for Stampotique, and one of Dyan's famous quotes.

I managed to squeeeeze in a little time to have a play with a couple of Tim's techniques. Oooh, I like stamping with picket fence distress stain :-)

I have been working in my art journal a little, but this project is under wraps until next week...... here's a couple of sneak peeks:

Right, I'm off. Still got a lot of things to prepare and get ready, including deciding what to pack to wear in New York!

Byee for now.

  14. The red really makes the green "pop". Love it.
Make sure you have plenty of room for all the extras you will be bringing back from Ranger U - I had sooo much excess baggage to pay for!!! Also walking through Newark airport the heel came off my brand new boots so I just had to go shopping now didn't I...and when I got to the checkout the new boots were 50% off a second pair - well who could resist!!!!! Enjoy every minute hugs xx

  19. Very out of your normal colour zones I would say but O SO pretty! Don't buy new shoes to go to America.... Get out old ones that have been worn to death so you know they will be comfortable. You don't want to paddle through American airports with hurting feet... Have fun while you are there!
