I taught a fun class at Art from the Heart yesterday, and everyone made a mini stitched house journal like this one (using the Tim Holtz die).
Right up your street stamps by Dylusions
We played with paints, gesso, stencils and the gorgeous new Dylusions ink sprays, and filled the books with lots of colour.
We sprayed inks onto calico and cut out little house shapes (freehand!) to make a mini tote bag to carry them in (cute!)
Here are a few action shots:
Gwen and Hilda putting their tote bags together.
A totally focussed Laura, trying to thread the cord through her tote bag!
Gwen adding ribbon to her tote bag.
Pat, who was the first to finish! Yay!
But every now and then something happens in a class that takes you completely by surprise. Gwen was chatting away and just happened to mention that she did belly dancing as a hobby, so I challenged her to demonstrate. We booked her in for an entertainment slot after lunch LOL!! And she did it. Woohoo! Go Gwen! A crafter AND a belly dancer. Thanks for sharing your skill and entertaining us all with such confidence :-)
Here's Gwen in action (love the way she still has her painting apron on!):
Fab, bright & colourful book !!
