Half way!!

Can you believe that we're half way through the year already? One of the things about doing this art calendar challenge is that it makes you realise how quickly time goes by. It seems to me that as soon as I finish preparing one month it's time to start the next! I enjoyed making some backgrounds like this earlier in the month so much that I decided to do it again. Sorry if that is a little repetitive but it makes me haaappyyyy :-)

I love these sweet angelic girls by Marsha of Tumblefish Studio. In fact I love them so much I didn't even alter them or give them spooky eyes or anything like that! They are just lovely as they are.

If you can't read the quote I added it says this:

'The English winter - ending in July, to recommence in August.'

If it wasn't so true I'd be laughing.

To achieve the layered look I used a base of various shades of acrylic paint and then a LOT of Altered Originals spray inks from Art From the Heart. Everything on my desk is now looking a bit pinker than it was originally! But that's ok, I like pink :-)

And here's last month's all filled in:

Well done if you're keeping up with the challenge. 6 months down, 6 to go, unless of course you find that at the end of December you just can't stop and will have to keep going for ever and ever..... Leave a comment here if you've completed your pages and then we can all have a lookie.
