Another page in my art journal, this time about the moments that we all have (you do have them too don't you?) you know, when you set off up the stairs for something and then can't remember what it was ..... or you go to phone someone and then can't remember what it was you were phoning for. Sometimes it's not even that - it's just the fact that you can't quite think straight .......
I love the image of these sullen faced boys. The 'ears' were the wings of a dragonfly which I cut in half and added behind their heads to make 'bunny ears'!
And here- just to show you that close up my work is really not all that neat (!)- are my hand drawn daisy type flowers.
At the end of this week I return to my part time hours at work *big smile*. I'm looking forward to a bit more creative time as well as time to leisurely peruse blogland rather than snatching a few rushed moments here and there.
Bye for now .....
Nice work. I so identify with this. I have lost my phone and my car keys and my crocs twice today! WTF?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this!! Especially the daisies...very cute indeed. Can completely relate to the Senior Moments experiences (although I do prefer the term Blonde Moments even though I am no longer blonde...) Going to the supermarket for a couple of things and getting everything EXCEPT the items I went in for, walking to the wrong car park on the opposite side of town and spending 20 minutes looking for the car, running through all the kids names before I get the right one (MollyJamesHarry...Ellie!!) and realising I'm still wearing my slippers on the school run...all in the last week. Worrying really - I'm only mid 30's!!
ReplyDeletebrain AWOL - ha! i can so relate!! especially if my estrogen patch needs replacing!!!
ReplyDeletegreat page!!
Fabulous! And yes, I too have those moments...but, tomorrow begins Summer Vacation!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab hand crafted and drawn page, love the content and it really does reflect what most of us suffer from time to time !! (not having weird ears.....just forgetting that is)LOL
ReplyDeleteSenior moments!.. more like hours! great page by the way!

ReplyDeleteyes, we all have those senior moments...even in our thirties! it happens to me when I've not much going on....it's funny, but when I'm super busy..i seem to be more in control and on top of every little thing!
go figure...you'd think it would be the other way around, non? lol

Great page! I love the idea and those daisies!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great page and yes I know exactly what you mean about having those 'moments'.
ReplyDeleteThose bunny/dragonfly ears are killer!!! You always come up with the most creative ideas, Kate! Ahhhhh . . . yes! Unfortunately I can relate to loosing part of my mind. Regarding my mind, my beloved son is always kidding me by saying that, "You have to have it in the first place in order to loose it, Mom!" Hugs, Terri xoxo
ReplyDeleteFantastico! My fave colour background and those hand drawn daisies are a loverleee touch! And I am blaming you (sorry, crediting you...)for my recent spending spree at Tumblefish Studio!
ReplyDeleteI've been having a little play with them tonight...fun fun fun!
I love your page Kate it so represents a lot of us although I would have thought you were too young to have Senior moments. I had one this week, left my mobile in the pocket of my jeans and washed them in the washing machine, so it cost me too as I had to buy a new phone. I think I may journal about that. Did you book for Dina, I did all 3 days yipee.
ReplyDeletePat xx
Great page - love the lads!!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! OH how nice large print LOL!
ReplyDeleteFabulous page as always Kate - And I'm so delighted that I'm not on my own with my senior moments although all my 'moments' are gelling together and becoming days!
ReplyDeleteDoI identify with your sentiments, you must be joking.....with the meds I'm on it surprises me that I can still walk from the kitchen to the sitting room and remember who's house I;m in, lol. Fabulous page, I love the daisies
ReplyDeleteLove the page! And yes, senior moment happen regularly around here too :)

Oh yeah!! Good point Sandra - Kate is COMPLETELY to blame for my splurging at Deviant Scrap of late too. Feel better now that I have passed on responsibility. ;0) xx
ReplyDeleteI love their faces too!! Grumpy old men! I have a few of those moments every day.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to you blogging more with lovely stuff when you go part time xx
They look how I feel today - some how at odds with everything!
ReplyDeleteI have to keep a constant check that my thinking doesn't go off at a tangent - it's boring staying on the stright and narrow.
Fully understand the senior moments too.
Oh Kate! I love your page. Those boys are the cutest! I love it when hand drawing isn't the neatest. Makes it so much more interesting. Lovin all your journal pages.

No you DEFINITELY aren't alone! Not sure if you're old enough to suffer from menopausal brain death like me, but can't recommend it. I used to be quite clever but that's a distant memory ...
