Ha ha ha! I love these Stampotique stamps :-) This is how I feel when I get to a half term ..... my head still feels full of 'stuff' and I find it very hard to switch off. Last night I was dreaming about writing school reports, I was actually writing them in my head in my sleep *sigh* if only it were that easy! It would be good if you could actually lift the lid of your head and let out all the things that keep you awake and then carry on as normal :-)
Do you like the splats? I made them by pooling watered down acrylic paint and then blowing through a straw. Not only that, the only straw I could find was one of those brightly coloured plastic curly-wurly ones!
The wording at the bottom of the page is 7gypsies, and the background stamps are Tim Holtz.
And here is a quick notebook I made from leftover scraps of paper, made using the same Stampotique stamp and Tim Holtz background stamps, because you can NEVER have enough notebooks.
Byeeeee for now
Wonderful as always Kate - I was using a straw to blow bubbles on my May pages which I have just uploaded....xox
ReplyDeleteI love the splats!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh wow this totally rocks! It is exactly how I feel after a day at work! lol
ReplyDeleteThat is just brilliant!! Every bit of it - I could do with a hinge like that. xx
ReplyDeleteLol, I love it Kate...gawd my heads like that all the time x
ReplyDeletefabulous.. I like the way his head is full off stuff!..... I know how he feels!
ReplyDeleteOoooh Kate you are so creative!!! I like that idea - cutting the top of your head off and letting out all the crappy stuff! Not literally of course - just in dream land like you said!
ReplyDeleteI love your splattery effects - now straws I can collect lots of, I like a frappucino at Starbucks so I can save the straws - I'm into recycling!
You could really go to town and accessorize all your outfits making those little notebooks - one for each handbag - cool.
My mental picture of you blowing paint through a curly straw makes me soooo happy! **big smile!** I'm so happy that you're enjoying your school break. And yes, it WOULD be lovely to have the capability of letting selective things out of our busy minds. **sigh** I'll have to put that on my wish list!!! LOL! Awesome page and a great notebook! Hugs, Terri xoxo

ReplyDeleteThis is so clever the way you did his head. How in the world do you come up with these wonderful ideas? I see that you're up right now, must be early morning on that side of the pond? Back to your journal page, always love your color composition and like I tell only a select few, you never fail to inspire me and excite me, thank you so much for that. You are truly talented!
ReplyDeleteHello there, Kate !! I know I owe you a proper e-mail, but had to pop in and see what you've been up to. Absolutely love this !! My head feels that way most of the time and the notation of "head full of crap" sent me into stitches !! Your art has really blossomed into a very distinct, captivating style - always fresh and unique.
ReplyDeleteTake care and all the best,
Shelly
