Well, here's another page I finished in my A5 Moleskine whilst on holiday last week. I was really enjoying making the backgrounds for my pages and wasn't even sure whether I wanted to write on this one. I started with a layer of old text as usual - I find this really adds depth to the page even if I do cover it up with paint! I then painted in various colours, sponged through a stencil, sponged through stencil waste, stamped with a few different bottle lids and sprayed with Starburst stains (available here) which give a beautiful shimmery dribbly effect. I also added a touch of Neocolor II watersoluble crayons for extra colour, and a bit of charcoal too! I used a stitching stamp by Tim Holtz, and the images are by Teesha Moore, Itkuppilli and Crafty Individuals.
This is what it looked like before I wrote on it:
Here's another page I completed which is completely different from my usual style. Look! I actually used some purple! For me, that's a really difficult colour to work with and I hardly ever use it. Now, I don't usually read my horoscope, infact NEVER would be more accurate, but my husband reads it every week in the Sunday paper and then he tells me if he thinks it's interesting. This one is spookily accurate and I felt I had to stick it in my journal right away:
That's me for now. Byeeeeeee.
P.S. We finally got frogspawn in our pond. Yay!
