How lucky am I?! Published again, this time in Geist magazine in Canada after the editor contacted me right out of the blue a few weeks ago. This is a journal page I did quite a while ago about Imposter Syndrome - the fear of people discovering that you are not as good as they think you are! Read about it here on Wikepedia and here on my original post. Needless to say I am absolutely delighted to have my art published again (although the Imposter Syndrome is kicking in again....it's a vicious circle!) Soon I will recieve a real copy in the post - Yayy!
Just before I go can I mention the dreaded 'S' word? SNOW - ARGHHH! Sick of it now, yes, it's very beautiful but the novelty has worn off a bit. The roads are treacherous, the temperature continues to plummet (-20 in some parts of the UK last night), it's like living in the arctic. And the roads still haven't been gritted Grrrrr!
Right that's it. I'm off to get my thermals on :-)
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Well done on being published again Kate and you should definitely NOT have imposter syndrome as your work is definitely great!!!! but I know what you mean, I do tend to feel like that a lot but the comments on my blog do perk me up a bit and make me believe in myself again... Thanks for all the inspiration you have given me in the last couple of weeks...Kirsti x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being published in Canada - you certainly deserve it - your work is so inspiring and original and you should have no fear of the imposter syndrome.
ReplyDeleteRe: the weather - if its any consolation Kate - since I put on my blog a photo of me enjoying an ice lolly on Wednesday its been absolutely dreadful here - nonstop heavy rain all day yesterday and today the winds have been quite arctic - they say be careful or it will rear up and bite you on the bum!!!ha!ha!
Hugs Sue x

ReplyDeleteRe the weather - I look at it as a perfect excuse for throwing on the PJ's and staying indoors and doing my journal - even if it is just prepping some pages.
