My Annual Review!

Ever since I started art journaling, I have had the urge to write everything down, so the end of a year and the start of a new decade meant I had a lot to say! I chose to do this in my A4 moleskine because it gave me a lot of space for writing. There's nothing groundbreaking here, just my warts and all recount of 2009 (don't feel you have to read the small print!) If I keep my calendar pages up for the whole year I may not feel the need to do this next January - who knows?!

Thanks for all your comments on my recent 'spooky doll's head' art, and no it wasn't a self-portrait as some of you kindly suggested mwa ha ha ha ha! I don't look anything like as good as that especially first thing on a morning......

  3. I like this idea of a yearly review. It seems like you did so much. Just getting published in Art Journaling magazine was a big enough event for one year, but you have several. Way to go.

  5. This is such a great idea, after 30 years of marriage we often have the conversation "when did we have the kitchen fitted, pond dug, go to France?" and so on. Keep your journals, that are a special part of your life.

  6. Do you never sleep? How on earth do you produce so many fabulous works of art and do the day job and keep the family going?
The daily journal squares sounded easy, even I can manage 5 minutes, but the page preparation... and you create so many.
    I'm very impressed!

  7. Really impressive Kate! If I opened my mouth to talk it's hard to shut me up, but writing is still new to me. You are fabulous at it, plus artistic to boot! Please add to your list that you are a mentor and teacher to many of us, me being the first. I thank you for sharing your inspiration with us everyday, and congrat's on all of your accomplishments!

  11. Gorgeous page (as usual) Kate - Huge congrats on your achievements this last year. I have just journaled the last decade (for another group challenge) and I only managed an A4 page for 10 years - Any hints or tips on how you manage to cram so much in such a short space of time! Long may your success continue.
