Sneeky Peeks.....

The October issue of Craft Stamper (UK) is in the shops now and this month I have a Paint Effects Masterclass article published. Yay! I had a lot of fun doing this one that's for sure :-)  I included some tips on stamping with paint, masking, splatting (messy but goody!), emboss resist and how to create a faux collaged background. Really, you can't have too much fun with acrylic paints LOL!
And now for a quick lookie at something different. While I was on holiday this year we visited the most lovely town call Pezenas which is packed full of arty shops. I came across a bead shop, a real treasure trove called metissage . Now, I'm not really into beading but I could have spent days in this shop. I managed to restrict myself to beads for just one necklace and made this:
It was good fun to make but surprisingly it didn't actually take me that long. If I got into beading in a big way I think I would spend a small fortune!
Bye for now

  3. I picked up my copy yesterday and really enjoyed your article; yummy effects :)
The necklace is gorgeous, but be careful, beading sneaks in slowly ;)
And Mary, yes, a friend of mine gets Craft Stamper in the states but she has to travel for it, and I think it's roughly a month behind so I now post it out to her!

  4. Hi Kate
Well done on another article published. Your work is fabby so well deserved.
Mum bought Craft Stamper on Friday for me along with a moleskine journal and a pack of Pitt pens and is arriving with it on Tuesday - that's the good news - the fact that she is coming to live with us permanently might not be!!! We'll just have to wait and see.
    Hugs Sue x
