My head's full.....

Do you sometimes feel that your head is so full of 'stuff' that you can't think straight? Well, that's where I'm at at the moment and the creativity fairy has left me for the time being. I've not been happy with some of my journal pages recently and I should recognise the signs and leave it and walk away. But I can't, I have to keep going and get very grumpy in the process.
This page I'm quite happy with but I'm not going to write on it just yet because my mood isn't right. I used stamps from Paperbag Studios (my current fave) and an image from Lisa's Altered Art

This page I don't like at all and I have journaled about that on the page. Ah well, some you win, some you lose. It's all part of the learning curve :-)
Off to work. If I go in a bit early I could clear some of my backlog of paperwork and then my head wouldn't feel quite so full!

    Love, love, love the first page. I understand not writing till ready.

    And Kate, I really do like the second!! Not a thing wrong about it!!

    Not every page will be our fav. I tend to want to cover up the ones I don't like, but I am learning to leave them - unless they are especially bad!! :)

    I look at your pages and just adore them ... sometimes we can be so critical of our creations. I guess the fun in creating something you don't like is that you will learn from it and know when you do like something ... there's always a win somewhere. PS sorry for deleting previous post ... too many typos.

    Fantastic work Kate ! I've only just discovered your blog but have loved all your projects in Craft Stamper :)

    I'm having a creative block at the moment too :( but have to say judging by these two pages your creativity/mojo is fine. Just bought my first book to start journaling this morning but i dont think i'll be brave enough to share just yet :)

    Keep up the inspiration....i need it, lol. Katy x

    love your journal pages. yes i said pages...plural. they are fabulous! isn't it funny how some things speak to us loudly and other things we can't even hear a whisper. i experience that too. frustrating to say the least. i hope you enjoy getting back into your routine. i am a fan of routine. i like knowing what to expect. i wonder at times if that is good or bad.

    My copy of Craft Stamper has just arrived in Spain and first page I turned to was yours. Another fabby article and the colours are just...lush - yes that is exactly right. Claudine's paints are a dream to work with and she is adorable too.
    Your journal pages are great - you are too hard on yourself.

    Unfortunately my head just seems to be empty these days!
    Your disliked page looks fine - no one would have guessed if you hadn't said. Just like having a bad day - forget it and move on.

    i am in love with these 2 pages of yours..and all your work..it is AMAZING!!! you give me tons of inspiration!!!!..awww your 2nd page is so awesome..i know..sometimes i am not too thrilled with how my pages turn out..but...its all in the fun of creating!

    Thanks Kate for letting me know where to get the pen :) Also got my eye on a set of the watercolour crayons on Ebay but thought you may be interested i found a fab place to buy individual colours of these at www.artifolk.co.uk...a good way to handpick colours you want ? Do you do Journaling workshops ?
