There's something fishy going on around here......

Hee hee hee. I love playing with images like this :-)))) This is a 3 1/2" by 5" which is a size I haven't done before but it does mean I am sticking to one of my new year's resolutions which I journaled about - to do my art on a bigger scale (ie: bigger than an ATC!)
It came about because an on-line buddy suggested a trade with a fish in it somewhere. I had a rummage through my image collection and found this fishy beauty on a sheet by Paperstreet on Etsy. But I also found this hoot of an image from Lisa's altered arts, with the four straight faced boys on. I chopped their heads off of course and added them at a jaunty angle and gave them a few fishy hats. I added the images to a collaged, painted, splatted, stamped background and then finished off with a little stitching. (It's a very long time since I used my sewing machine to actually sew fabric!) Anyway, I hope my on-line buddy likes it. I enjoyed doing it- it took me out of my comfort zone for a while.
We've had a bank holiday in the UK today to celebrate May Day and as usual for a bank holiday in England, it was cold, grey and wet. Hmmmm, spent the afternoon in the 10 pin bowling alley although my husband and I had to 'give' all of our goes to our children. Next time I'll take a flask!! Ha ha. Well, if it's a bank holiday today, you know what that means? It means I've got Sunday night blues on a Monday.................
Bye for now

  1. I love it beyond words! It is perfect! You are so clever and fun. You know I love fish and I love quirky and fun and you did it all! And the sewing detail just puts it over the top in scrumptious!

Sounds like you had a riot of a time at the lanes. You should do a bowling themed ATC.
Thanks for the comment on my Poe.
