Blog awards!

Yayy! Lookie what I got today - not one blog award but two! I do like getting these awards as I feel I have somehow connected with someone in a virtual kind of way. The first one is from the wonderfully talented Marsha at http://tumblefishstudio.blogspot.com/ Her colourful, whimsical collage art is a great source of inspiration - do take a look. This is what the award is all about:

“The Renee award was created by Bella and Ces in honour of their friend Renee. In Bella's own words "this is a brand new award and I have the pleasure and honor of spreading the seed, watching it grow. I hope it finds it's way to those who are like Renee: the acorn, a small package becoming a tall and sturdy oak, giving more acorns, becoming tall and sturdy oaks, giving acorns…” See Renee's blog: Circling My Head

Thanks so much Marsha, I'm truly honoured. I would like to hand this award on to the following people - talented artists - some new friends and some old (oops, don't take that the wrong way hee hee) whose blogs I love to visit regularly and that I find a great source of inspiration:

Dyan (aka Dylan) at http://dyan-reaveley.blogspot.com/

Roc at http://whatsuproc.blogspot.com/

Diana at http://docobhthaigh.blogspot.com/

Shelly at http://papermischief.blogspot.com/

Cathy at http://cparmelee.blogspot.com/

Tanya at http://tanyawatts.blogspot.com/

Do pay these blogs a visit - I promise you it's worth it!

And the next award from Cindy who has not one blog, but two! Cindy is massively into genealogy http://genealogybycindy.blogspot.com/ but also loves to crafthttp://mywvworld.blogspot.com/ Thanks Cindy, I'm honoured that you thought of me :-)

Since becoming a blogger and joining this virtual world, I have been constantly amazed at the friendliness and generosity of fellow bloggers. I feel like I have friends all over the world even though I haven't met them! Maybe one day we'll organise a massive blog party and meet up with all the lovely, talented, creative people that we have bumped into in blogland. So I hand this award on to the following friendlybloggers:

Anita at http://maketimetoplay.blogspot.com/

Dyan at http://dyan-reaveley.blogspot.com/

Shelly at http://papermischief.blogspot.com/

Diana at http://docobhthaigh.blogspot.com/

Marsha at http://tumblefishstudio.blogspot.com/

Sue at http://desiretoinspire-suec.blogspot.com/

Thanks to you all for your friendship, your e-mails, your blog comments and your inspiration.

Bye for now

  1. Oh my goodness! I am getting spoiled. But it's good, too, because there are more blogs I want to give awards to and send people to. So, I thank you, you sweet lady. I am honored and appreciate you thinking of me!

If you knew how much I'd been thinking about you the last day or two you'd be scared. I am trying to find what I want to use to make you a fish piece. I am so hung up! Yours is just so good I feel I can't match it. But, I did make you an ATC which is on my blog or flickr wherever you might like to get a preview. It's the first ATC I've made in awhile and it was fun. Anyway, when I get my fish piece done I am going to feature you on my blog - hopefully sometime this weekend. If I don't get it done by then, you'd better make sure I haven't pulled my hair out!

Thank you, again. Have a wonderful weekend!

p.s. I will go visit all of your awardees - I love meeting new people and revisiting ones we like together!

  2. Aww, thanks for the award, Kate! I appreciate it. I have to admit, I'm not a very good blogger these days...I'm behind in updating my own and I don't find much time to visit others' lately (although I do peek in on yours and Shelly's for new eye candy LOL). Hoping I will change my bad habits soon! Anyway, I'm honored with your award. Thank you very much :o)

  3. Thanks Kate for the friendly blog award. I haven't blogged much lately as I have been getting samples prepared for future workshops.
My husband returned from the UK yesterday complete with a copy of this months Craft Stamper - a real treat as we don't get craft mags out here and especially as you are in it - well done. It is so lovely to see someone whose work you know featured in a magazine. You well deserve it - your work is so inspiring. May you feature in many more issues.

  4. Kate, thanks so much for the award honours, you're too kind. I finally posted on my blog and love visiting all the blogs you've nominated. I can't believe Marsha is hung up on creating a fish piece for you ... her work is awesome. By the way, any chance you can buy an extra copy of that magazine you're in and I send you the money?? Thanks again and chat soon.
