I absolutely LOVE a bit of messy junk journaling. Working in a junk journal is very forgiving - there is no pristine clean white page to be scared of. Sometimes I lose track of what journaling is about, and begin to focus on overly neat and structured pages, so this was all about letting go :-)
I just stared splashing lots of layers round on this one, and built it up gradually. I find the best way to do this is to have something else on the go at the same time - stops the overthinking. And also stops me being impatient waiting for paint to dry.
I worked mainly in acrylics, but also added some Stabilo All pencil, Distress crayon, soft pastel, calligraphy ink ... a bit of everything!
Hi Kate, what a joyful piece... I just love it! looks pretty neat to me, nothing messy to my eyes!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thank you :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like this... I enjoy the colors and it makes me feel a sort-of Happy-Freedom. The minty green, pink and Fuchsia colors are my favorite and with a touch of black... very nice. Thank you for sharing.
