Yay! Finally I completed my calendar pages for November! Ah, it's always a relief to catch up. If you look closely you may be able to see Gog Lin by Stampotique peeking out from amongst the leaves:
Congratulations to everyone who is still up to date with the challenge, we are now 11/12 of the way through, and we should all feel very proud of ourselves :-) To make the leaves I coloured some old text with spray inks and then stamped the leaf shape several times before settling down in front of the TV with a glass of vino and a pair of scissors. Actually there were a couple more leaf shapes cut out but my house bunny snuck up on me, pinched a couple and ate them. Baaaaaaad bunny.
Today is officially my 2 year blogaversary. When I started blogging I was doing quite different things with my art. This is the ATC that I chose to share on my first ever blog post. See my first blog post here.
My art is very different now, I wasn't even journaling then and yet now that is my main thing!
So here I am: 215 blog posts, 3111 comments and lots of lovely followers and friends. When I started blogging I didn't really fully realise what it was all about, I only did it because a friend suggested it! I had no idea what a wonderful artistic community was out there. Thank you all for your loyalty, your comments, your cyber friendship and your inspiration :-)
As a little thank you I have two mini journals by Gorjuss to give away. These are tiny, but great if you don't have time to journal a page in your large sketchbooks.
Mine is still a work in progress, but is now full of lovely colour and so far looks like this:
If you would like a chance to win a mini journal leave a comment here but PLEEEEAASE check your profile details and make sure I have a way to contact you. I'll pick two winners on Friday evening.
Bye for now.
First of all, happy Anniversary ! Your first blogpost-ATC is gorgeous ! I love your November calendar too, looks great with all the leaves and the little one peaking through them ;-) As you know I only jumped in recently, in my 2nd month now, but I plan to keep it up untill the end of 2011 LOL As for the journals, they are soooo cute. I am not a very lucky person (when it comes to winning things, otherwise I am very lucky !), but still, it can't hurt to try. I would love to fill up one of those cute journals. Have a wonderful day !
