Busy times!

October and November are busy months for me as I try to fit in some long distance workshops before the winter weather takes hold. Here in the UK it only takes a couple of snowflakes for our road systems to completely shut down! Last weekend I was at the fabulous The Artistic Stamper in Kent teaching lots of lovely people 'darn sarf!

The calm before the storm ...!
Needless to say it didn't look like this for long!

It's such a joy and a privilege to teach these arty, creative workshops and I have met many fabulous, friendly, willing, creative people along the way :-)

I taught three whole days, and some hard-core artists did all three days! (Yay! Well done Nicky, Karen and Lesley!)

Work in progress ...

Me in action (aka being bossy!)

Just look at the concentration ...

At times they were all eerily quiet!

On day one, we worked on creating layered, bright, colourful backgrounds for collages in our art journals. We used images by kind permission from Tumblefish Studio and Hidden Vintage Studio on Mischief Circus (previously known as Deviant Scrap). If you haven't been to Mischief Circus before prepare to lose a few hours ... just saying!

Day 1!

On day 2 we created some Marvelous Miniatures ... mini hand-bound books inside matchboxes.

Day 2!

And on day 3 we painted some whimsical faces. On this day I banned moaning haha! Painting faces always generates a fair bit of moaning! But the results were fantastic, even from those who said they couldn't draw :-)

Day 3!

All of this was made possible by the lovely Jennie (and not forgetting Mal - Mr Artistic Stamper and marvellous tea maker) at The Artistic Stamper, Kent (UK).

Me and Jennie :-)

Huge thanks to Jennie and Mal, and of course to everyone who came along to play.
Until next time ......
