Miniature journaling

Images by Crowabout Studio B at Deviant Scrap

Recently I have been mostly playing in my teeny tiny mini moleskine journal. I find that I go through phases with journals .... I have loads on the go of course but I will find myself drawn to one particular journal for a while until I eventually move onto another one. One of the advantages of mini journaling is the speed at which you can create a page, and also the small pages feel so much less intimidating than a large blank white page.  Of course working on such a small scale (8x5 cm) presents its own difficulties but that's all part of the challenge!

The page above was created using  leftover bits of collage images by Crowabout Studio B. These small leftovers were lurking at the bottom of a folder of images, but my grungy colourful background was the perfect home for them, and it's such a great way to use up leftover bits and bobs. The journaling itself was done with a dip pen, and is all about those annoying night-time demons that come to haunt you at 3 am and prevent you from going back to sleep ......

Whilst I was at The Artistic Stamper recently, I came across some fabulous steam punk style stamps, including this one known as Phineas Pinchbeck *LOVE*! I wanted to try him out, so I just stamped him on a piece of random leftover painted paper and then included him on my next journal page.

The wings are by Dutch Doobadoo - laser paper art, so you just cut them out and add them. Fab idea! Everyone needs a set of wings ;-)

And this is how my teeny tiny pages look side-by-side in my journal:

OK, that's it from me for now. Byeeee .....

  2. Maybe it's because you came into art journaling from ATCs, but I find the mini journals harder! I just don't work well that small. You do a fabulous job of it though!

P.S. Did you get my email?
