May!

Ooh, I got a little behind myself with the calendar challenge, and I know from experience that if the month isn't ready to go, then a whole month can slip by and it's VERY hard to catch up! I added lots and lots of Dylusions inks in shades of green and blue to make a background, as I wanted a rich green to represent the turning of our countryside from the dull browns of winter to the bright greens of spring. I have actually filled the days in and now I'm up-to-date and feeling as smug as a smug thing ;-)

Yesterday, we went on a little jaunt to a local beauty spot known as The Himalayan Gardens. It's crammed full of beautiful flowers, plants and trees, but inevitably it is the beautiful and unusual sculptures that catch my eye. I had a little play with the hipstamatic app on the i phone:

Is this the Loch Ness Monster?!

It was raining, and it looked like this little guy was shedding a tear :-(

Byeee for now.....

  1. Beautiful garden made more special by rain. I love the green on your calendar. I make a calendar every month and thought I am not always pleased with it's appearance, it seems to be easier to keep up with events on my hand made calendar than on a printed one.

  2. Attractive photos of the garden, very green! The colors of your page of May are a delight (yes, I like the green). It is reminiscent of the green of the nature which wakes up finally.

  5. Love your pictures and love your calendar page! Dylusions are great aren't they?! I joined in the calendar challenge for the first time, I didn't know it existed but I started making them last March. So April was already there, and now I've made May too!

  7. what lovely garden photos despite the rain. I know exactly what you mean about getting behind and it being hard to catch up. I've been too close to getting behind the last two months so now I am almost finished with my June spread :)
