Playing with backgrounds ...


Oh, how I love making backgrounds! Especially when the backgrounds are painty and I can get my fingers in the paint. I like to feel it. I've been picking up some great tips in 21 Secrets, and it's so much fun putting those tips into use.


This weekend I'm going to teach at the Stamp Attic, where we will be practising our drawing skills (yikes!) and playing with backgrounds just like this ..... Fun!



I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these backgrounds yet ... I'll wait till they speak to me .... Right now, I'm just happy to have had some time to play and create :-)

    Love love love the red, pink and orange one - I'm obsessed with those colours at the moment. So nice to see backgrounds as the starting point as well as the final result. Kind of behind the scenes. And I can see the doodles influence in these pages too. I'm starting to add more of that into my pages and it is making them look so much better!

    Fabulous backgrounds Kate :) Think I might have struggled to add anything else! Oh oh - no - I hear Dina's voice in my head - "don't fall in love with your backgrounds".... but shhhhh - don't tell, I DO have lovely backgrounds in my journal!
