So, that was May! May was sooo busy, it came and went in a blur. I had such a very exciting month with my trip to NYC and Ranger U, but that is what makes this calendar project so special ... you get to capture all of these special moments for ever more.
We have now completed 5 months of the year and still have 7 ahead of us ... how are you doing? Are you managing to keep up?! Well done if you are, and thanks for all the inspiration along the way :-)
I managed to visit all the of the linked blogs last month and left a comment on MOST of them ... blogger is still being a pain sometimes and won't let me leave a comment. Grrrrrr.
So, where is my June page? Erm..... let's just say it's a work in progress haha! June's pages will follow in due course! However I know some of you are extremely well organised and raring to go, so here's the link. Let's see what you've all got in store for June.
Thanks to you all for being a part of this amazing challenge.
My June is a work in progress also -- at least it will be when I get started! These last two weeks have been to busy -- beach vacation first, and then our 3 and 4 year old grandchildren and their dog have been staying with us unexpectedly due to a housing crisis of their mother, so my life has essentially been on hold while caring for toddlers.
ReplyDeleteYour May pages look festively "American" -- like 4th of July -- suitable for your U.S. adventure.
I'm still in Kate!!! I haven't posted to my blog yet but May is done, June has begun, and I even painted a background for July! I'm trying to stay ahead because summer is my fave time of the year and I spend as much time outdoors as I can and try to get to the beach often. I love a rainy day or two to catch up with art :)I think you are amazing at keeping up considering your VERY busy schedule-thanks for YOUR inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow, Kate. I had a terrible time uploading my link. That's the first time that has ever happened, but it took me over 20 minutes to get it right. I had to shut down and restart in order for your linky to accept it. Glad I stuck it out, though. I know what you mean about Blogger. I'm having a terrible time, just like you. Thanks for stopping by, at least.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! Thanks again for the inspiration. Love your pages, Chris
ReplyDeleteI have to join in with your diary journaling revolution, it looks like so much fun. Michelle x
ReplyDeleteAwesome Kate!!! You are so awesome with this!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kate, I'm still here :-) I'm loving this challenge and especially love seeing the pages that others make. I love the reds in your May spread.

Hei. Can I join the grupe?
ReplyDeleteI have seen this in the blogs for a while, so what do I have to do?
Hi Marina, Of course you can join! All you need to do is make a calendar page each month and post a link to your blog or Flickr page here so we can all come and visit!
DeleteFine. But I have to ask, what kind of book and size do you use?
DeleteHi again. I use an A4 (12x8") Moleskine sketchbook and each daily square measures 1 1/2". but everyone is doing it differently. You may find this post quite helpful:

Hope that helps!

I'm still in too, I love doing this. I got started on June sometime early in May and kept going through December!!! I've also got a calendar book going for next year already. I usually buy either Leslie Anne Ivory or Charles Wysocki, but this year I bought a Canson 7x10 multi media spiral bound book and got it ready for 2013....YAY. You've set me on an art track that I don't want to get off! Thank you for all your wonderful works of art and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYou've been very busy....June offers 30 days to catch up, you'll make it. Thanks for hosting the fun party every month.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate - thanks for keeping us going in all the busy-ness. Always love to see your creations
ReplyDeleteI'm in! Now, let's see how I do at staying so! (lol)
