Spray inks by Dylusions
Basic backgrounds stamps by Dylusions
Swirl stamp free on cover of Craft Stamper magazine!
Ooh, I haven't had much time to play in my journal over the last few weeks, but I managed to squeeze a bit of time in yesterday, and finished this inky page in my large vintage ledger. The image was drawn by me (some of you may recognise it - I started this at the recent weekend journal class!)
The background had been made for a while ... I used Dylusions ink sprays and then Dyan's ghosting technique to create some background texture:
A bit of stamping, and my *new fave* liquid pearls:
And I found this quote in a vintage text book full of rhymes for children. This particular rhyme took me right back to my childhood.... I used to get quite anxious as a young child, especially about going to school. Nobody knew why, not even me, because I really loved school when I got there. It was an on/off issue for quite a few years, and to escape that anxiety at home (especially on Sunday nights!) I used to become very involved in reading my favourite books to take me away from it all.
I had a fab day at Art from the Heart today, teaching painting techniques with Golden Fluid Acrylics to a great bunch of ladies. I remembered to take my camera but guess what? I forgot to take any photos. Doh! Thanks for a fun day girls!
Talking of Art from the Heart ... Preview day is coming up where you can see all the details of up and coming classes, watch a few demos, and maybe grab yourself a bargain. I'm teaching the early slot this time! All the deets are here. See you there!
