Wearable art!

Mervynboy by Daniel Torrente

Ooh, I'm loving the latest Stampotique challenge - to create something which is wearable! Valerie has set us this latest challenge and here's what she had to say:

Valerie would like to see what fun ideas you can come up with as you create something that you can wear - perhaps even a matching set!  Will you take something apart and rebuild it, alter an existing item or will you start from scratch?  And then of course, the real test will be - will you wear it!?! :)

Well, I passed the test 'cos I've been wearing mine already! I got hold of the pendant from Crafty Individuals here, which measures just 1", and then created a miniature background using the fab new inks by Dylusions. I added Mervynboy because he was just small enough to fit in the frame, and then added the words 'love me' because he looks like he needs a little love :-) I really enjoyed doing this challenge - it was different to the sort of thing I would usually make and it was fun fun fun!

If you fancy being a guest designer for Stampotique read on ....

Want a chance to be a guest designer for Stampotique?  We love to give our fans a chance to be a part of Stampotique throughout the year, and our challenges are one way to do that.

There are 2 ways to enter this challenge.  First one is you can join in with our challenge here and when entering put GDT next to your entry.  Second way is you can create anything with Stampotique stamps and post it over on our Facebook page.  Please remember either way you must use Stampotique stamps.
We will announce our next guest designer with our next challenge on March 28th.

Good luck!

Now onto a few other things ... If you have been desperately waiting for the new Dylusions ink sprays to arrive I am pleased to tell you that they are in stock NOW at Art from the Heart. Woop woop! These gorgeous, bright inks are my all-time favourites and I use them on everything.
Also in stock are the new Dylusions stamps and stencils :-))

And if that isn't enough, it's preview day at Art from the Heart this coming Saturday with taster classes from these lovely ladies: Dyan (The Queen LOL!) , me (!), Sandy, Kaz

If you live near to Harrogate, N.Yorks, pop in and say hello and maybe get inky with us :-) If you are going to the great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza then you can call in too, because it is literally just around the corner. See all the details here.

Now, if you'll excuse me I've got an art journal page that needs finishing ........ byeeee

  1. Oh wow what a great neclace, I can just see you in it!! Gorgeous colour too.
Not sure if I can make anything like this, but you can be sure I will have a go!!

My friend and I will try to call in at AFTH Saturday, we will be at the GNPE, but we are going for both days, so coming away a bit earlier on the Saturday won't hurt, and it would be lovely to meet you. I did see you in September last year at Dyan's 10th Anniversary, but I had not "found" you in "Blogland" then, so did not speak!!
I promise to say HI this time!
