Meet our new arrival , a beautiful whippet named Bailey. We didn't set out to get a dog - not at all - but Bailey needed to be rehomed urgently, and she is so gorgeous, what can you do?! We heard about her plight on Saturday and by Sunday she had moved in with us. I was worried that she might not settle but have a look at this ..... she seems quite at home!
You may have been wondering about my lack of art in the last week but somehow everything seems to have happened at once. You know I had an OFSTED inspection at my school recently (see previous post) well this is followed by another inspection the week after. Then of course we had the arrival of Bailey. Then we decided to strip the old wallpaper in the 'craft room' ready to redecorate (I am going to swap rooms with my son so more upheaval to follow!). I am currently working in a room that looks like this:
Do you really think I can find anything in this mess?!
Ah well, hopefully normal service will be resumed as soon as possible .......
Bailey looks great, glad he is settling in weel, and as for the rest . time will get it back in order again! Valerie

I know how those "dogs in need" pull at the heart strings, both of ours came to us needing a forever home, one had been a stray and had been mistreated and the other was too much of a handful for the old lady who had her and it was not going well and everyone was desperate for her to find a new home. They both bring us huge joy, plus a lot of mess and naughtiness - well ours are terriers. I'm sure Bailey will be a great addition to the household, she looks a love.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and beautiful face Bailey has, no wonder you couldn't resist her. She looks very settled already. How long before she has inky bits on her ears?!!
ReplyDeleteAs for your craft room - no wonder you brought half of it in the car with you on Saturday!!!
