Mermaids and octopet by Daniel Torrente for Stampotique
Inks and paints by Dylusions
I've been playing with the fab mermaids by Daniel Torrente again - just love 'em! This is a page in my very old Time Book, from the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Company, with all the original handwritten notes in, which was sent to me by the lovely Tumblefish. The pages are fragile (well, they are 100 years old!) so I kept the paint and inks to a minimum to allow some of the original text to show through.
This quote came from an old book which was going to be thrown out at the school where I teach, and its all about children's nursery rhymes. Nursery rhymes used to be really quite gruesome I discovered!! The poem is by Stevie Smith. So, I'm sorry - this page is a little dark - even I'm not sure how my head works LOL!!
Right, must go ...... Byeeeeee
