It should have been me!

Border cut from an image by Tumblefish Studios
Inks and paints by Dylusions

A page in my large A4 journal (12 x 8") about .... yup, you guessed it .... having to miss the Tim Holtz class at Art from the Heart because I had to go to work grrrrrrrr (You may be able to spot Tim's signature in the bottom left corner of the page, as I popped along to the studio after work and had a peep at what everyone was doing). I just HATE missing out on the fun.

I started this background when I was teaching a journaling class at Art from the Heart (so some of you may recognise it!). It sat untouched in my journal for a while and then I added a bit more colour - the new 'mustard' from Dylusions.

This is how it looked before I added any journaling:

And a couple of close -ups:

I cut the banner from an image by Tumblefish studios - it's a book cover from the gnomes set but it just happened to be the right colour!

Ah well, half term is nearly over. Got to go and make two Tudor costumes now, ready for a school trip this week ...............

Bye for now........

  2. I was the one other person in the entire craft world (or feels like it) that didn't do a Tim workshop - I feel your pain. Suffering makes great art though - that's a fab page :-)

  12. It's lovely in a very unfortunate kind of way - in that you missed out on Tim's class. Your backgrounds are so busy but just work.

  13. Fab page Kate - and I can sympathise as I couldn't go either - Just life stuff, as you say, got in the way. One consolation is that you got there eventually and got Tim to sign your journal - now that has to be a Brucie Bonus if ever there was one!

  14. Really! You had to miss Tim? Couldn't you have called in sick?!! LOL - Good consolation prize, though. Cheers! - Kathy

  19. Hi - I feel for you, I had to work too!

I'm back on line now after windows died and we had to get the computer reset and then load programmes back on etc. We're not techy so it had to go away to computer hospital.

Will now a last get round to posting Jan and Feb journal pages at once.
