Just a quick page in my teeny tiny journal about Moi! I was really practising with my new paints (see previous post) to see if I could blend different colours (as opposed to blending various shades of pink for example).
The words are from a song by Eliza Doolittle although I can't for the life of me remember which one!
The wonderful Dyan is having a preview day this Saturday at Art from the Heart in Harrogate, North Yorkshire (UK). Don't miss it! There'll be demos with the new spray inks and paints, and maybe a make'n'take or two. And I'll be there, playing with paints and inks and generally getting messy :-)
Now, a bloggy friend who goes by the name of cla 16e, asked where you could hold of the teeny tiny notebook I have been experimenting in.
(By the way, I can't always answer questions directly because there isn't always a link to a blog / e-mail in your blogger profiles so there is no way of getting back to you....)
The book is designed by Gorjuss, and made by Santoro and is available here. Go and get one. You're worth it :-)
And finally, last but not least. The hugely inspirational Tumblefish is celebrating two years of blogging this week and there is lots happening on her blog - challenges, giveaways etc etc, something new every day. Don't miss out, have a look here.
That's me done for today. Byeeeeeeeee.

ReplyDeleteFabulous pages and gorgeous colours as usual Kathryn - but you know there aren't a million people JUST like you ;-) Oh dear there was I saving a bit of brass by not going to the GNPE and then you go and show us Dyan's paints and now tell us she's having a preview day Saturday and I don't live far enough away to use that as a reason for not going, so I guess I'll see you Saturday then :-)

ReplyDeleteAwesome spread, Kate! Love that little book - it's going to be quite the little treasure when it's complete! Hugs, Terri xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteKate, I disagree with the lyrics - You are one in a million! Maybe a zillion or gazillion! You are so talented, I don't think you even know how talented you are.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days, I'm going to get me some of those inks and paints you show us and give your glorious color a shot. Do you have an online class I've missed perhaps? If you taught a class, I would take it.
Thank you for the blogversary commercial! I appreciate it so much. Have a great rest of the week!

ReplyDeleteHi Kathryn, pity but I won't be seeing you tomorrow now, Pat's going to get me some of the paints on Sunday. It would've been lovely just wathcing you all demo Dyan's wonderful stuff but I would've been tempted to spend too much no doubt and have things I need to buy for the house, save up for the Knitting & Stitching show, Harrogate in Nov and then Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI've changed my pages for September now, wasn't really happy with them. I will get the link for Flickr sometime so I can upload my pics there.
Have fun tomorrow ;-)
