Another fine mess......

Altered Origianls spray inks by Dyan at Art from the Heart

'Another fine mess you got me into...' as Laurel and Hardy used to say! I am of course referring to the mess our country is in. Don't know about you but some nights I can hardly bare to watch the news for fear of what is coming next so of course I had to journal about it. When I look back at my journals in 15 years time I will either think 'thank goodness all that is over' OR I will think 'that was nothing! Just look at what was around the corner!'

I created the background by sticking sheet music on my page and then randomly painting over with various shades of blue/green acrylic paints. I sponged through a stencil in opposite corners, and then added a good squirt of my new inks with some pearl pigments for an added bit of bling :-)

I added my images next, all by Tumblefish Studio for Deviantscrap.com. This is how it looks before I added the words and doodling:

Byeeeeeeee for now :-

  4. I am TOTALLY in agreeance with you Kate - next in line for the cuts are the poor and vulnerable (those on incapacity benefit)they're paying for the mess the bankers created! I can't get my breath sometimes... sorry for the political rant! I am somewhat soothed by looking at your lovely art! I love it very much :)
And I love those Tumblefish collage papers - been having another little play myself - I am however, a flibberty gibbet journaler and often start many pages and flit back and forth so I don't have any finshed ones to blog!

  20. I didn't realize you all were having a bad recession as well. After reading your journal page it seems like it's bad everywhere? I think it's kind of scarey because it seems like something drastic is in the works? Or needs to be? At any rate, as usual I love this journal art you do. Sometimes your work reminds me a little of Marsha at TumbleFish. I adore her work as well. But I do realize you both have your own style, and each is unique and beautiful in it's own right. Take care and hang in there.
